Big expectations and expansion plans in Brazil for EveryMatrix Americas

(Rio de Janeiro, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Arturo Chaltelt, Business Development, EveryMatrix Americas, granted an interview to SoloAzar, after its recent participation in SBC Summit Rio. He commented about the firm's ambitious plans for Brazil, Peru, Mexico and potentially Chile, and also highlighted that one of the strong points of the company is that their compliance teams work very well within regulated markets.

What were the main products or services you presented at this first edition of SBC Summit Rio?
The EveryMatrix team has attended numerous Brazil shows in the last few years, but this is the first time we had an official area to host our existing customers, guests and new prospects for coffee and in-depth product and industry conversations.
We talked to them about all the unlimited possibilities EveryMatrix can offer including our turnkey solution. From our GamMatrix platform to Casino Engine represented by my colleague Josmar Diaz, to our sportsbook with my colleagues Ivan Rozic and Alex Jones, all the way to our affiliate management services with the presence of my colleague Svetlana Vardanyan. This is us showing Brazil and LatAm, how invested we are in this great region and how we will continue to be present and always looking to collaborate with the most suitable partners.
How are you adapting to the local Brazilian regulations?
One of the strong points EveryMatrix has is how well our compliance teams work within regulated markets.
We continue to deliver proven success for more than 300+ customers of all shapes and sizes in markets across Western and Eastern Europe Latin, Central and North America and elsewhere, while also excelling in delivering compliant solutions available across 68 global jurisdictions and growing. In addition, in September 2023 we became the first iGaming supplier to receive WLA Safer Gambling Certification.
Our focus for 2024 on beyond is firmly on LatAm, with our teams already working round the clock to prepare the resources we need to provide customers in Brazil.
What are your company's expansion plans in the Brazilian market?
We will soon open an office in Latin America. We can’t yet disclose the location however in the medium term we plan to have a dedicated Latin America team including experts that can cater to the Brazilian market, speak the same language and operate in the same time zone. The importance of having someone with the right language and cultural knowledge is paramount. Many of our competitors attempt to manage this from afar but if you want to remain competitive you need the right boots on the ground in any regulated market. In a country with the diversity and size of Brazil it is only right to work locally, and we have big expectations and expansion plans as a result.
What aspects of SBC Summit Rio did you find most relevant or attractive?
SBC Rio surprised everyone with its sizeable attendance numbers. It was full every day, with business representatives from all areas. As always, the networking across the event was done very well. It’s so important to meet existing and establish new contacts and SBC have become masters at that over the years. Of course, the location, in one of the most amazing cities in the world helped a lot.
What opportunities for collaboration or partnership emerged among the companies present at the event?
We were able to connect with some key strategic operators and vendors that we look forward to collaborating with. There were plenty of opportunities and fortunately the team was able to connect and start conversations for the future.
We’re very bullish about Brazil and see huge opportunities across all our product areas including large sportsbook and/or casino turnkey deals that involve multiple products and services coming together to launch or relaunch operator offerings.
This includes online casino and sportsbook platform; sports data feeds; esports data and odds; affiliate management and affiliate optimisation software and services; gamification; bonus and loyalty features and functionality; localised content, and aggregation; as well as bespoke safer gambling tools and services that we have created for tier-1 customers and that have seen a spike in demand newly regulating and regulated markets.
We’ve shown we can achieve this across large turnkey deals such as the Hungarian Lottery and bet-at-home in Europe, both of which launched within weeks of each other last year and involved the successful migration of tens of millions of players onto our tech stack.
We have ambitious plans to replicate this across Brazil, Peru, Mexico and potentially Chile in the months ahead.
What is your vision for the future of iGaming in the Brazilian market and in Latin America?
To put it in simple terms, growth across all areas: from innovation to talent to GGR. New and emerging regulations will shake things up in Brazil but for the better. More global operators and suppliers are joining local incumbents each day in this venture, however this time, everything will be better protected especially the players who are the key factor in the equation when legislating.
Other emerging markets in LatAm will undoubtedly follow suit after Brazil and Peru, and start looking to have a guideline to ensure player protection, taxation and sustainable market entry and development among other activities. In the case of Peru, this is another market that is going through some interesting changes due to the regulation but that we expect to flourish and benefit from this.
The opportunities are huge and we’re ready to step in both to launch new digital brands across sports and casino, and to help brands struggling because of legacy technology that simply isn’t fit for purpose for the Brazil or wider LatAm markets.
What are the next trade shows you are planning to attend?
We will be present at the majority of LatAm shows this year and beyond. We have confirmed the Convención Nacional del Juego AIEJA in exico, GAT Expo Cartagena, BiS Sao Paolo, Peru Gaming Show, SBC North America which is very important for our US operations, SBC Lisbon, G2E, SBC Miami. That is the plan currently for the Americas and we have the possibility to add more shows depending on the market and reach as we see accordingly for our strategy.
In other words, you’re going to be seeing a lot more from EveryMatrix not only in Brazil but across the LatAm region in 2024 and we look forward to seeing you all there!
